T for therapy or taboo

So I am an anaesthesiologist by profession and today I had this patient on my table posted for a minor surgical procedure… he seemed anxious which was a bit more than normally what we experience. After conversing with him, at a point of time I felt he’s having a panic attack but his heart rate and blood pressure said against. Perfectly normal. Why I felt this was, he was having a lot of trouble articulating his words! Somehow we induced him to anaesthesia and were told by the surgeon that our patient was a super intelligent guy, graduated from one of the top institutes and was working for a fine 1 cr p.a but has quit for past one year. One thing I didn’t tell you was that throughout induction he was worried about his job and that the people around will know that he has had a surgery which obviously was discomforting for him but to an extent which was incomprehensible to me. Also later his parents told us that he refused to go to therapy. My question is, has workplace environment become...

It’s not difficult to be a woman it’s just very easy to be a man

So today I was told that it’s very difficult to be a woman. I really don’t think so. (not trying to awaken all the feminists out there). I know the level of micromanagement done by a female is something difficult to imagine but it is only because we hardly get any assistance and so I feel it’s innate for a woman to manage work on her own. We don’t expect assistance as well! Had they given us some help they would realise that it’s really not that big a deal 😅. Hence I feel it really isn’t difficult to be a woman. It’s just very easy to be a man!

What you have is enough!

So yesterday I ended up talking to my sister who’s by the way this hot shot UPSC aspirant! I feel their species is only different. The way they think, the way they talk, the awareness in them! So my sister was narrating the story of Arjuna and Krishna when Krishna was injured and Arjuna was carrying him through.. they encountered the Bheel people who tried attacking them but here everyone was relaxed. After all they had Arjuna! Unfortunately Arjuna lost to the Bheel people! It was the same Arjuna, same weapons, same actions of the enemy. Only difference was the time, and presence of Lord Krishna. so this taught me whatever endeavours we put in life will be same, our perseverance will be same.. and when it’s our time and when everything is aligned, there will be magic and when it’s not meant to be it won’t be so no point breaking our head 🥲!
